Mom always knows best. And Usher should have listened to his mom when she
objected to him marrying Tameka Foster!
The couple reportedly split up in July 2008 after just 11 months of
marriage.
But hey, Tameka was smart. She popped out two kid$ within a year!
Despite the split and troubled marriage, Mrs. Usher claims to have been
surprised when he filed for divorce last month. Especially because she
claims they had "been intimate" less than a week before the papers were
filed.
In fact, the babymomma is denying claims the couple had split back in July
of last year.
In her court documents just filed, Tameka says she "had every reason to
believe her marriage was intact" and that two were "intimately together as
husband and wife as recently as June 6."
Puh-lease. Just cause he sleeps with you doesn't mean he still loves you!
Though when it comes down to the divorce settlement and her alimony, we're
sure she's gonna fight hard to prove they'd been "happily married" until
now.

R&B star Usher and his wife are reportedly planning to divorce after
almost two years of marriage.
The Yeah! Hit-maker and stylist Tameka Foster have been living apart for
the past year, according to
In Touch Magazine.
The shocking news comes just four months after Foster suffered cardiac
arrest during cosmetic surgery in Brazil. At the time, Usher, who flew to
be by her side, insisted he had no idea his wife was there for the
procedure.
A source close to the couple says, "Usher's primary concern is for his
children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for
them."
The couple has two kids together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd,
six months.

scene in the upcoming film Five Killers with actors Ashton Kutcher and
Katherine Heigl.
Usher Gives Back
Source: Essence
Five-time Grammy Award-winning singer Usher is used to hearing from
thousands of screaming fans when he's performing at venues across the
globe. But put him in front of 200 shrieking kids and he's at a complete
loss for words. That's how the R&B superstar felt when he recently visited
the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Clubs in Atlanta as part of their "BE GREAT"
campaign. Keeping a promise he made to President Obama last year, Usher
continues to encourage young people across the country to commit willingly
to service projects, helping us to rebuild our communities. He spoke to
ESSENCE.com about the impact of the Boys & Girls Clubs, his future plans
with Michelle Obama and getting invited to the White House.
ESSENCE.COM: What was it like spending afternoons at the Boys & Girls
Clubs when you were growing up?
USHER: That experience was life changing. I knew I wasn't going to be a
baseball or football player because I couldn't hang. But it's the type of
positive environment that you would want your children in, especially if
you live in an underserved community. Kids can be around other youth,
learn social skills and find their own way in life. The Boys & Girls Clubs
that I went to had a lot of kids who could have easily become a product of
their environment but being around such positive things and people, it
allowed us the choice to be a product of our experience instead.
ESSENCE.COM: Part of the BE GREAT campaign includes using a photo of you
as a little boy. How did you choose that particular photo and what are you
hoping the campaign will do?
USHER: I was 7 years old in the photo and it was around the time I was
attending my Club. I was destined for success! Can't you see that smile? I
was dead set on being something even if it was just a poster child. If
anything, I hope the campaign will encourage other men and women to make
that investment in their children's future. This is the type of place that
really helps, especially for single parents.
ESSENCE.COM: What was it like meeting all those kids at the Brookhaven
Boys & Girls Clubs in Atlanta?
USHER: I felt like I had reached an incredible turning point in my life
because that was once me on the other side. You don't think about it until
it happens. I mean, you go on stage, millions of people buy your albums
and they are happy to see you do what you do, but being able to give back
and talk to these kids...I love being a part of that. I felt like, man,
the story continues.
ESSENCE.COM: How has being a father changed your perspective on giving
back?
USHER: I feel like I've been so blessed, and that's why I started my
foundation, New Look, as a way to encourage those who are less fortunate
and help them find their way. We do a camp every summer and throughout the
year we have our "moguls in training" program where we match our kids with
internships at various corporations. For me as a father, it has just made
me a more well-rounded person. You don't know about life's true
experiences and duty until you have a child. It changes your perspective.
ESSENCE.COM: You've been seen around Washington, D.C., a lot lately. What
have you been up to?
USHER: I sat with Michelle Obama's staff and we talked about doing
community service projects together. During his campaign, the President
asked me to motivate the youth to get involved in the vote. I've also
teamed up with the United Nations Foundation for an effort to try to find
a cure for Malaria in Africa. I was there when the Service America Act was
passed so I'm definitely all in when it comes to service. In fact, that's
my middle name...Usher "Service" Raymond IV.
ESSENCE.COM: I know that you recently went to the White House. What's it
like?
USHER: It's beautiful. To be able to look at the same china George
Washington used and walk through the same halls that he walked
through...it's just timeless history. To be an African-American man and
know at one time the only way we were accepted in these halls was as
slaves and then to know that now we're represented in office, it's just
like, wow!
ESSENCE.COM: If you could be President for a day, what is the first thing
you would do?
USHER: I would change the swearing-in date. Man, I froze my butt off and I
got so sick and then I had to perform. The first thing I would do is
change it to the middle of summer.
Usher & Lil Usher Out and About
Usher at the White House & Usher to buy a House?
Source: The Real Estalker Date: April 22, 2009
Grammy winning R&B superstar Usher has been out and
about looking at real estate in the City of Angels. According to our
sexed-up snitch Luwanda Courvoisier, Mister Usher recently, "worked his
milk chocolate skin up and down the twisted streets above the Sunset
Strip" where he checked out at least one contemporary crib listed at
"around 5.5 million bucks."
Although Mister Usher is married to and has a couple of kids with some
ladee named Tameka who recently had a plastic surgery emergency in Brazil,
the peeped property isn't exactly family friendly. We're not saying
anything about Mister Usher's family life because we don't know
eh-nee-thing about Mister Usher's family life. We are simply saying that
Miz Courvoisier snickered that the glassy house in the hills is far more
suitable to a bevy of horny babes in bikinis than a couple of small
children and a newly liposuctioned mommy wife.
Of course, Your Mama got to wondering why Mister Usher even wants a house
in Tinseltown. Best as we can figure, the man probably wants to be a movie
star just like that over-blinged egomaniac Puff Daddy (or Diddy-P or
Fiddle Faddle or whatever stoopid name he wants to be called nowadays)
wishes he was. Queen, please. Stick to what you know, which is singing
smooth, sappy songs meant to get women in the mood to make babies and
leave the film business to actual actors.
Anyhoo, some of the children may recall that way back in September of
2007, the dapper Mister Usher listed his 8,022 square foot suburban
Atlanta mansion with an asking price of $1,950,000. Listing information
shows the 5 bedroom and 4.5 bathroom house in the celeb friendly Country
Club of the South community is still available and, much to our surprise,
has a slightly higher asking price of $1,995,000. Your Mama questions the
wisdom of upping the asking price of a property even as the real estate
markets continue to limp along like a lame horse. Then again, it's been
proven over and over again that Your Mama don't know nuthin' from nuthin'
about how to price property, particularly in suburban developments filled
with newly built mcmansions.

So this morning, Usher just showed up at the White House, apparently
uninvited, and he and his entourage just walked in the northwest gate. But
President Obama wasn't home.
Informed that Obama had just left for Iowa and wouldn't be inside, the
singer seemed disappointed.
"He did?" he said.
What an odd story! Usher just came over for a chat. And there
is an open door to R&B superstars policy, at the White House, even when
the President is a thousand miles away. At least Tiger Woods and the White
Sox were actually invited.
More People Focus on Tameka Than Usher
As most of you guys noticed, there hasn't been many
updates since the new year began. Why? Well, it seems that when people
start to talk about Usher, the topic is switched to Tameka. I hope (in the
near future) more media outlets can start to talk about Usher's new album,
to give the fans something to look forward to. I guess we'll just have to
wait and see.

Usher Tells Chris Brown: 'Have A Little Remorse'
Source: MTV
Chris Brown has drawn fire from the media and from fans for the photos of him
that emerged over the weekend buzzing around in Miami on a jet ski during what
was called his "reconciliation" weekend with girlfriend Rihanna.
And in a recently posted video, Usher joins the criticism of Brown, who is
slated to face charges on Thursday for the alleged incident on February 8, in
which he is reported to have battered Rihanna on a Los Angeles street.
In a video posted by producer Jermaine Dupri, Usher says that instead of riding
around on jet skis, the 19-year-old singer should "have some remorse" for the
alleged incident. The comments in the clip, part of JD's "Living the Life"
series, were recorded on Monday, according to comments from Usher, who is shown
huddled around a laptop discussing a series of photos with some other men in a
recording studio.
"I'm a little disappointed in this photo," Usher says about the shots of Brown,
as singer/songwriter Johnta Austin bounces around the room and makes some
off-color jokes about boxing. "After the other photo [of Rihanna's bruised face
posted by TMZ last month]? C'mon, Chris. Have a little bit of remorse, man. The
man's on jet skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?"
Usher issued a statement late Tuesday (March 3)
apologizing for the comments he made toward Chris Brown. "The comments made
during a recent recording session amongst friends were taken out of context and
blown out of proportion," the statement reads. "I apologize on behalf of myself
and my friends if anyone was offended. The intentions were not to pass judgment
and we meant no harm. I respect and wish the best for all parties involved."
Usher Out &
About
Source: 24hr Hip Hop
While Usher takes time out to celebrate Baby's 45th B-day party at the Velvet
Room this weekend, it is now coming out that this plastic surgery scare was a
surprise to everyone, even Usher himself!
People close to them are coming out and saying that Usher had absolutely no idea
Tameka was in Brazil getting the procedure done and found out about the
complications with the rest of the world! I’m hearing Tameka told Usher she was
going to visit relatives and wanted to surprise her man with her new figure.
Well he sure got a surprise but it wasn’t the one he was looking for. I’m told
Usher completely freaked out after hearing the scary news and had to be calmed
down before he could even get on the plane to go accompany her.
So what now? My insiders say that Usher is taking it a little easy on his wifey
since she was just released from the hospital. But both her and Usher know this
is a big deal and he feels it was a major violation of trust in their
relationship. My intel says he plans to let his true feelings be known and maybe
even place restrictions on Tameka and how much access she has to travel and
money.
Usher Wife Tameka Foster In
'Serious' Condition
(February 17, 2009): Tameka Foster is still being treated in a Brazilian
hospital 10 days after suffering complications from plastic surgery.
The R&B singer has repeatedly been photographed this week visiting his spouse of
a little more than a year Tameka Foster Raymond at the prestigious Hospital
Sirio Libanes, where she is recuperating after suffering a heart attack during
a liposuction procedure.
Raymond's complications could be related to the fact that she gave birth to her
second son Naviyd Ely only two months ago - not four months ago as she
reportedly told her surgeon.
According to José Tariki, president of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery,
a patient should only undergo liposuction six to eight months after giving
birth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Update: The Brazilian news website G1 reported that
Foster was rushed to the Sirio-Libanes Hospital's intensive care unit last
Friday after a medical emergency during a liposuction operation.
She had suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest as she was being anesthetized
for the cosmetic surgery, it said.
Foster had reportedly been put into an induced coma for 24 hours and was now
recovering.
G1 reported that a US neuro-surgeon from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los
Angeles, Gabriel Hunt, was handling her case. He left the Sao Paulo hospital
late Monday without giving comment.
Usher has canceled several appearances at this weekend's Grammy Awards,
including a performance at Clive Davis' Annual Pre-Grammy bash due to a serious
family crisis.
According to attendees at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Bash, where Usher was to join
Whitney Houston and Jennifer Hudson, Davis announced that the "Trading Places"
singer had cancelled his performance due to a 'serious illness in the family.'
Leaving many shocked, Davis, president of Usher's J Records label, said the
entertainer and his mother phoned earlier to cancel his rehearsal and subsequent
performance at the Beverly Hilton.
Reps for the Grammy Award winning star have declined to comment or elaborate on
the news at press time.
Rumors that Usher's wife, Tameka Foster, who gave birth to their second child in
December, had died following plastic surgery were said to be false according to
a source close the singer.
The source has however confirmed, through Access Hollywood, that Foster has
suffered complications from a cosmetic procedure in Brazil.
Last night, Davis’s famous pre-Grammy show featured
performers Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, as well as Rod Stewart,
Barry Manilow, Josh Groban (substituting for Usher), rockers Kings of Leon, and
Sean Puffy Combs featuring Faith Evans.
Usher Replaced by Ne-Yo !?!?
Source: MTO Date: January 30, 2009
There was always drama between Usher and Ne-Yo. But MediaTakeOut.com just caught
wind that the drama’s about to heat up shortly.
Why, you ask? Well, there’s a new film written by John Ridley and produced by
George Lucas called REDTAILS that’s set to go in to production in March. The
movie, which is about the legendary Tuskegee Airmen was originally set to star
R&B singer Usher Raymond.
But MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind that there are reports floating around
that Usher’s been cut from the cast. And he’s being replaced by R&B singer
Ne-Yo.
Tameka Foster Joining the ATL Housewives!?!?
Source: Bossip Date: January 14, 2009
Y’all ain’t gon’ believe dis here. Bravo is really going after the ratings
next season.
A Bossip snitch has exclusively spilled the juice. Where in the hell do we
begin?
Poor little Deshawn got the news yesterday that she will not be asked to
return to the upcoming season. Our highly placed Bossip source tells us
that “the public wasn’t interested in her life.” Sorry, Deshawn.
Sheree is a liar. There is NO Fashion week, people. She will not be
unveiling her clothing line anywhere, anytime soon. The source claims that
the reason she’s been pussy-footing around this divorce settlement is
because “she’ll be homeless once the settlement goes through.” Sheree has
even enlisted the help of some of the other housewives for a place to
stay. Sheree has nothing.
Kim Zolciak, Lisa Wu Hartell and Nene Leakes will return next season. Nene
is working on a spinoff series with Bravo that will “involve her and some
other women.” Whatever the hell that means. The series will air in 2010.
And yes, your favorite ATL wife, Tameka Foster, has been approached by
Bravo to be the new ATL Housewife. Our source tells us that they’re “in
the last bit of talks.” It looks like your dreams…or nightmare might just
come true, Bossip Folk. Although, we don’t really believe that it’s going
to happen, that would make for some damn good television.
No Grapes For Usher
No more grapes, wine tasting or photos will be taken at the singer's
Atlanta-area Grape Franchise.
According to Access Atlanta, Usher's much-publicized bar, which opened in
late 2006, has closed.
The Grape at Inman Park -- a bistro, wine bar and wine retailer -- did not
reopen for the New Year and did not renew its liquor license with
Georgia's Department of Revenue.
In good news, Usher is back in the studio! While a release date has not
been set, Usher is rumored to be pushing for a late 2009 release.
organizers said yesterday. The ball was conceived as "a festival of the
Celebrities such as Aretha Franklin will be on hand. Usher, Patti LaBelle
and the O'Jays are expected to perform. So are an Israeli artist,
Brazilian dancers and a South African a cappella group.
